This project is part financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development 2007-2013: Europe investing in rural areas. It is being delivered through the South West RDA, with Defra as the Managing Authority.

The restaurant: Caroline’s Kitchen, our restaurant, opened in time for Easter 2011 and has been an instant success. Customers love the buzzy atmosphere, the willing, smiley service – and above all the food. And we apply exactly the same philosophy to sourcing that as we do to stocking the farm shop. After all, if you’ve already got the very best on your doorstep why go anywhere else? In fact most of what is brought into our kitchens comes from the shop itself, so our chefs are already provided with the finest raw ingredients before they so much as light the gas.

We’re already becoming a breakfast destination with the first meal of the day really representing the South Hams on a plate, and we serve morning coffee, lunches and cream teas. Because we believe in seasonal as well as local food you’ll find us offering an exceptional and ever-changing choice of lunchtime specials throughout the year. When the weather is fine we have a sunny, sheltered outdoor eating area and if the children finish their meals quickly there’s a super-safe adventure playground for them right next door. We also run themed evenings where we offer local specialities according to their availability – check the website for details. And you can hire the entire restaurant for children’s parties, when we’ll be happy to tailor the menu to your exact requirements.
